Size Guide

Grab your tape measure, it’s time to find the perfect fit!

Vintage

We understand that vintage sizing is tricky, and it can be even more difficult when purchasing something online! We provide a size recommendation as a guide, but sizes vary so much from era to era and brand to brand (it’s just a number).

To ensure the best fit we provide detailed descriptions for each product - including measurements. We recommend comparing our measurements against a garment you already own for a more accurate idea of the fit.

We base our sizes off the below chart - these are the average measurements provided by most high street stores. Of course, we recommend checking each garments individual measurements to ensure best fit.

We aim to include the following measurements where applicable:

1. Pit to pit: this result can be doubled for a rough bust size.

2. Pit to cuff: from the armpit to the sleeve cuff.

3. Length: measured from the back of the neck, along the centre back of the garment to its hem.

4. Neck size: useful for items such as formal shirts.

5. Shoulder breadth: for items with more prominent shoulders, such as suit jackets and coats.

6. Waist: this is the smallest part around your middle (generally near your belly button). Trousers and jeans do not always sit as high as this point, this will depend on the rise. So you may wish to have a larger waist size, if you want a lower waist line, and vice versa.

7. Rise: measured from the crotch to the waistband. Very useful for determining whether the fit will be a high/mid/or low waist.

8. Hips: the widest measurement (around your bum)! To find this size, we lay the garment flat and double the result.

9. Inside leg: this will help find the trouser length for different heights or cropped style fits.

Chest: this is the largest circumference just behind your dogs front legs.

Length: is approximately from where their collar sits, to the end of the back before the tail.

Neck: the biggest measurement around the neck - we recommend grabbing their collar measurement for best fit!

We create two types of bandanas - ones with ties and ones without ties (that simply slip on the collar).

Note that the "triangle" part of the bandana does not need to be the size of your dogs neck. In the below image, please see the rough sizing of each bandana "triangle".

Bandanas with ties: we suggest sticking with your usual sizing.
Bandanas without ties: we recommend sizing down if you are unsure or between sizes. These are made to fit over a 1" collar.

Please remember that our bandanas are handmade, so allow for 1cm variance.
